First, let me say thank you so much fo...Ms. Jazz,

First, let me say thank you so much for following our new blog. We are thrilled to have you as a follower.

Bananas are yummy. I too, used to eat them. For weight loss, they are not the best. Mainly because of the high starch content and high sugar combination. Instead try berries. They are much higher in antioxidants and lower in sugar.

Whenever you eat a starchy food, your body will store water as a result. Have you ever noticed after eating a pizza, the next day your eyes will appear a little puffy? The week before last, remember what Steven ate? A lot of Chinese food and he went back to his waffles, cream cheese and honey. as a result, he gained 6 lbs. of water from all that starch and sodium, and I told him as much.
Now he is eating old fashioned oatmeal, mixed with protein powder, berries and almonds. This is the best breakfast you can eat. It is packed with nutrition.

What you want to do to lose that 30 lbs. is eat a high protein, low starch, low sugar, diet with plently of greens and "good" fats. These good fats will keep you full and the absence of starches combined with good fats will lower your insulin response. The result will be less hunger and you will drop a lot of stored water and fat.

Good fats are as follows: avocado, olive oil, toasted almond oil, almonds, macadamia nuts, (not peanuts).

You want to use your good fats sensibly. You put them on your salads, cook with them in your greens, eat them as snacks, But, if you overeat them, obviously they will be too fattening, but in sensible portions, they help your insulin response because they are filling, but do not cause your insulin to rise, which is the hormone responsible for storing fat.

The other thing is 2-3 fish oil capsules after meals (1,000-1200mg). This is very good for every mechanism in the body. I highly recommend it. Steven said he really feels better since I got him on them. He also got his mom on them too.

If you are familiar with the Zone diet, this is the way we advocate eating. It is a way of eating for life, not even a diet. If you are just dying for bread, you can try a whole wheat flat tortilla like Stephen is doing or the Ezekiel bread, which is excellent. Hope this helps! --RobinReverseMagazine.nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06278382380632775832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1628807209868648679.post-88813355523620879042009-06-25T09:13:28.729-07:002009-06-25T09:13:28.729-07:00hi how are you? i found you on who ate my blog,, ...hi how are you? i found you on who ate my blog,, and began to follow ya,, you have a cool page with interesting stuff, which brings me to ask you what do you think about bananas for someone like me who is trying to drop 30 pds? and the reason i am asking you is because you told stephn you didnt think they were a good idea,, i eat at least 1 to 2 bananas a day thxs ms jazzms jazzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00147512908816667291noreply@blogger.com
